Janice Marie Rayfield, 82, of Springfield, Missouri, passed peacefully following a stroke on January 5, 2026. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1943 to Richard and Ida Konopka.

She graduated from Rosati-Kain Academy in 1960. Janice was a beloved wife and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Lynne Knollman Davis, and her brother, Richard Konopka, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert David Rayfield, daughters, Cynthia (Steven) Zind and Jennifer Denson, and her cherished granddaughters and great-granddaughters.

Visitation will be held 11 a.m. to Noon, Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E. Seminole in Springfield. Private burial will be at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janice's memory to the Library Foundation of the Springfield-Greene County Public Library at foundation.thelibrary.org/donate.

Care has been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
