Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 to 12:30.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 1:00 PM at Saint Joseph's Church.

JANICE ROSE

Formerly of Shokan, New York died at Golden Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center in Kingston, New York on Friday, December 19, 2025. She was eighty years of age.

Born in Brooklyn, New York. October 26 , 1945. A daughter of Augustino and Marion (Elemendorf) Badaracco

She was employed as a purchasing agent for Woodstock Percussion for 28 years.

Previously, she worked with her late husband in the family business Sklons Business Machines.
Janice loved going to garage sales, estate sales, flea markets, and auctions. She loved antiques and the excitement of finding a treasure to add to her collection. She often said that antiquing was in her blood. She also loved dogs. She was a girl scout leader and did volunteer work at St. Francis Church in Pheonicia.

Janice is survived by her two daughters; Laura Callahan and her husband Sean, Debra Benjamin and her husband Eric. One son, John Byrnes, and his wife Leny. A sister Kathryn "Tootie" Castagna. She has five grandchildren Michael, Robert, Megan, Ryan and Julian.

Her first husband, John Byrnes, her second husband, Alfred Rose and her sister Doris Marin predeceased her.
