With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Janice Sue (Sayler) Blackwell, age 86, who left us peacefully on February 16, 2026, at her home in Eastland, Texas. Janice was born on April 5, 1939, in Gorman, Texas, to the loving parents, Troy and Elvirna (Dixon) Sayler.

Janice's life was marked by her deep devotion to family and faith. She married her beloved husband, Tommie "Tom" Blackwell, on March 13, 1985, in Eastland, TX, creating a partnership filled with love and support that spanned decades. Janice was a member of the Olden Baptist Church, finding solace and strength in her faith.

A woman of many talents, Janice took great joy in sewing, crocheting, reading, and gardening. She treasured the time spent with her family, always finding happiness in the laughter and love shared with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love will carry on through them.

Janice is survived by her devoted husband, Tom Blackwell; five children: Cindy Graves and husband, Vernon of Jefferson City, MO, Rhonda Neichamp and husband, Donnie of Lynn, MO, Denice Cabella and husband, Don of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Ronald Neihart, Jr. of Upland, CA, and Debbie Turner and husband, Ivan of Jefferson City, MO; a special grandson, Justin Neihart and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two cherished aunts, Wiladene Butler of Rising Star, TX and Nelma Hawk of San Angelo, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Elvirna Sayler; her first husband, Ronald Neihart, Sr.; and her brother, Larry Sayler.

In honoring Janice's life and spirit, her family will hold a memorial service at a later date, inviting all those who knew her to celebrate her rich legacy of love and kindness. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home Eastland.
