Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the age of 83 years.
The daughter of the late Robert D. and Beverly (Leitz) Leaman was born on August 5, 1942 in Saginaw. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School, the class of 1960. Janice married Gary Schulz on June 30, 1962; he predeceased her on October 6, 2018. Janice retired from Second National Bank after 25 years of service. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Janice enjoyed camping with her family at Canada Creek Ranch, trips to the casino, and cherished time spent with her family and church family.
Surviving are her children: Kelly J. Schulz, Thomas J. Schulz, granddaughter: Katelyn Schulz, great-grandchildren: Kingston Cantrell and Khaleesi Cantrell, her sisters Julie (Thomas) Buxman and Linda (Greg) Ashbreck, her sister-in-law Jean (Pastor Donald) Buch and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother Michael Leaman.
Funeral service will take place at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Court and Bond Sts. Rev. David Naumann will officiate with burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. on Tuesday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
