Janice L. Stonaker, born on September 1, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, in Holland Village, Holland, PA. She was the beloved daughter of Kermit and Emily Peberdy Loux, and the cherished wife of John A. "Jack" Stonaker, who predeceased her.
Janice dedicated over 15 years to her profession as a registered nurse at Helene Fuld Medical Center in Trenton, NJ. Her commitment to providing care to others defined her career and left a lasting impact on countless lives in her community. A graduate of Trenton High School in 1955 and the Helene Fuld School of Nursing, Janice embodied the values of compassion and diligence throughout her life.
Beyond her professional achievements, Janice loved the simple joys of life. She spent summers at her vacation home in Galena, MD, where she created countless cherished memories. With a flair for creativity, she took great pleasure in painting ceramics and indulged in the art of cross-stitching. An avid reader, she found solace and adventure within the pages of countless books, nurturing her inquisitive mind.
Janice was a proud member of the Lutheran Church of God's Love in Newtown, PA, a testament to her commitment to faith and community. Her presence was a source of warmth and guidance for those around her, and she will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, John A. and Christine Tidd of Morrisville, PA, and her cherished granddaughter, Allison R. Tidd. The impact of her love will continue to guide them as they carry her memory forward.
A private graveside service will be held in her honor at Ewing Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Ewing Township, NJ, where family and friends will gather to pay their respects and celebrate the life of an extraordinary woman. Janice L. Stonaker will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a memorial contribution, in her name, to the Pastor's Discretionary Account at the Lutheran Church of God's Love, 791 Newtown Yardley Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, PA.
