Janice Virginia Taylor, 86, of Concord, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Pruitt Health in Harrisburg, where she had resided for 3 years.
Janice was born October 12, 1937 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina to the late Fred Hartsell and the late Eula Hartsell.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Bobby Wayne Taylor; brothers, Clifford Hartsell and Jerry Hartsell.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Friday at 2:00 pm at Friendship Southern Baptist Church at 180 West Ave SW, Concord. officiated by Rev. George Townsend. Burial will follow at the Cabarrus Memorial Gardens at 3892 Hwy 73, Concord.
Survivors include son, Danny Taylor and wife Barbara; daughter, Daphne Ball and husband Johnny; son, James Gregory Taylor; grandchildren, Tiffany Lambert and husband Josh, Chris Taylor and wife Maggie, Matthew Taylor and wife Kelly; great grandchildren, Aubrey Taylor, Ryder Taylor and Jaxon Taylor; and sister, Freda Frazier.
Janice played the piano for nearly 70 years where she continued to share her love of music by playing for her Church family. Some of Janice's favorite things included hunting yard sales, shopping, avid reading, and she was known for her home cooking. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her, but especially her family.
