It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janice Louise Wright of Coffeyville, Kansas, who passed away on the date of July 5, 2025 at the of 81.
Born on September 22, 1943 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Alva James "Sonnie" and Pansy Lee (Robbins) Mounts. Janice attended school in Coffeyville completing her education at Coffeyville Community College.
Janice was known for her generous heart, giving spirit, and the care she provided to her family and friends. She took pleasure in tending to her flower beds; China painting; and watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren flourish in the many activities they participate in. She was a very active member of First Baptist Church, enjoyed her coffee group along with having fun with her sorority sisters. Throughout her life, Janice enjoyed giving to those in need and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children Jim Wright and wife Trudy of Coffeyville, Cindy (Wright) and husband Benjy Fenske of Republic, Missouri; her grandchildren Skylar Wright and Brittany, Taylor Wright and Dylan Johnston, Hunter Wright and Kari, Korby Fenske, and A J Fenske; and her great grandchildren Brinley Barnes, Myla Wright-Branum, Rett Wright, Oak Wright, and Jackson Johnston. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Carol "Sue" Farris.
A service to celebrate Janice's life will be held at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 11 am with the family receiving friends beginning at 10:30am. Following Janice's wishes she will be laid to rest next to her parents and sister at Restlawn Memorial Park immediately following the service. The family kindly requests that donations in made in Janice's honor to be made payable to First Baptist Church Memo noted for either Youth Group or Youth Church Camp, those contributions may be left in care of the chapel.
