Janie Paulette Wheeler, age 75, of Farragut, Tennessee, passed away tragically on November 21, 2025. Born on June 25, 1950, Janie lived a life marked by deep love, quiet strength, and a generosity that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Hood. She is survived by her devoted husband, Charles Wheeler; her daughter, Stacey Given; and her cherished grandchildren, Camryn and Cole Given, who were constant sources of joy. She is also survived by her stepson Jacob Wheeler, his wife Kim, and their children Thompson and Lillian, all of whom she embraced with love. Janie leaves behind her sisters, Glenda Hill and Billie Brewer, along with many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews who adored her.
Janie retired from a dedicated career in sales, where she built lasting relationships through her sincerity and warmth. Beyond her professional life, she was an accomplished potter, creating beautiful pieces that she joyfully shared with friends and family. Her pottery was an extension of her heart-crafted with care, offered freely, and treasured by all who received it.
Above all, Janie cherished her family. She would do anything for the people she loved, and her devotion was felt in every gesture, conversation, and moment she gave. She was deeply loved, and her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. Her family and friends will forever carry her memory, grateful for the kindness, creativity, and unwavering love she brought into their lives. She will be profoundly missed.
A visitation/celebration of life will take place from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel (11915 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934). To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Janie, please visit our floral store.
