Janis Lynn Bapp, age 67, of Janesville passed away at 10:52 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital.
Services will take place at a later date. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Janis was born on October 31, 1955 in Mattoon, the daughter of Sammy Rolla and Cleo (Goad) True. She married Steven Joe Bapp on October 31, 1985.
Survivors include the love of her life for 37 years, Steven Bapp of Janesville, IL; daughters, Jennifer (Chris) Hickman of
Paris, IL, Kara Elizabeth (Josh) Henne of
Charleston, IL and Lisa Jo (Blair) Morris of
Dyer, IN; grandchildren, Kyanna Irizarry of
Charleston, IL, Ayden Irizary of
Charleston, IL, Amaya Morris of
Dyer, IN and Maxwell Morris of
Dyer, IN; brother, Jeff (Susan) True of
Mattoon, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Janis was preceded in death by her parents.
Janis enjoyed riding motorcycles, crocheting, and making special things for her family. Her animals were a special part of her life. Most of all, Janis loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
