Janis M. Blum, 78, of Pottsville, passed away Sunday, November 30th, at Providence Place Retirement Community, Pottsville.
Born in Pottsville on April 17, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn (Steidle) and George Felker.
Janis was the widow of Earl "Mickey" Blum who passed away in April of 2018.
She was a 1965 graduate of Pottsville Area High School.
Janis was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.
She was employed in the loan department at Pennsylvania National Bank for most of her career. She then was employed at M&T Bank until the time of her retirement.
Janis is survived by a son, Dale Blum, husband of Kimberly, of Pottsville
and daughter, Cheryl Dukmen, wife of James Reilly, Jr., of Orwigsburg.
She is also survived by her granddaughter & caretaker, Jocelyn Barrett, wife of Matthew; grandchildren, Courtney, Mallorie & Connor Dukmen; great grandchildren, Charlee Harach and Mckinlee "Mick" Barrett; and sister, Nancy Sheipe of Schuylkill Haven.
In addition to her parents and husband, Janis is preceded in death by a brother, Dale Felker.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 4th at Lord Ebling Haus Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. in Pottsville with Rev. John Wallace officiating. A viewing will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
At the family's request, memorial donations may be forwarded to Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
