Janis Kay Roper

Janis Kay Roper, 63, of Charleston, AR passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 in Charleston. She was born October 4, 1951 in Paris to Gwendol Heathcott and Deloras Mabry Heathcott. She was a retired school teacher and a member of Charleston First Free Will Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 at McKendree Cemetery, No. of Subiaco, AR with Bro. Wendell Crosswhite officiating. Her body will be cremated under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston. She is survived by her husband Ronnie Roper, of Charleston, one son Nick Roper and wife Claressa of Fort Smith and daughter Becca Iwanski of Savannah, GA; one granddaughter Gia Iwanski of Savannah; one sister Marilyn Denton of Siloam Springs, AR; two brothers James and Mark Mullenax both of Conway, AR.
