Jared Bartholomew Obituary
Shipman - Jared Scott Bartholomew, Sr., 30, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025, in Shipman.
Born December 15, 1993, in Alton, he was the son of Curtis Bartholomew of East Alton and Carla "Rene" (Hawkins) Nolan, step-father Bill Nolan of East Alton.
Jared had been a self-employed mechanic for the past 12 years.
On June 11, 2021, in Edwardsville, he married Brittney Weiss. She survived.
Surviving in addition to his parents and wife are a son, Jared Scott Bartholomew, Jr. of Wood River; daughter, Allison Hicks of Wood River; brother, Dustin Nolan of East Alton; and two sisters, Alyssa Nolan of East Alton, and Kayla Bartholomew of Edwardsville.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 28th at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Tim Gill will officiate.
Cremation rites will follow the services.
