Jared Lee Miller

Jared Lee Miller, 13, of Houghton Lake passed away Saturday September 24, 2011 following an automobile accident. Jared was born in Lansing on April 6, 1998 to Rodney Stark and Stacy Miller. Jared was an 8th grade student at Houghton Lake High School. He was a member of the Houghton Lake Wesleyan Church Youth Group and was an avid computer enthusiast. Jared enjoyed being with his brothers while swimming, fishing, and doing many outdoor sports. He enjoyed being out in the yard on the trampoline spending time with his sisters. Jared is survived by his father, Rodney Stark of Houghton Lake; mother, Stacy Miller of Lansing; two brothers, Brandon Stark of Houghton Lake, and Jakob Stark of Houghton Lake; two sisters, Brittany Bunnell of Lansing, and Bridget Bunnell of Lansing; paternal grandparents, Sandy and Dick Arendt of Houghton Lake, and Roger and Barbara Stark of Lansing; maternal grandparents, Katherine Miller of Lansing, and Harlin Miller of Litchfield; very special friends, Darlene and Duane Curtis of Webberville; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with many friends. Memorial services for Jared Lee Miller will be conducted 1:00PM Tuesday September 27, 2011 at Houghton Lake United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Anderson and Rev. Andrew Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 12:00PM(noon) until the time of the service at 1:00PM. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
