in Houston, Tx. At historic Jefferson Davis Hospital. After 39 short years with us Jarvis was called home to be with the Lord on 7/23/2025. Jarvis's journey on earth was filled with faith, joy, and some challenges which however did not shake his unwavering love for his family and God.

At a young age, Jarvis was baptized and nurtured under the leadership of the late Pastor Peggy Cooper at a small church in an apartment community, where he first encountered the love of Christ. It was there that Jarvis developed a deep and unshakable passion for learning about God and the Holy Spirit. His love for worship was evident, he often danced like David during each service, radiating pure joy and a heart full of praise.

His spirit was contagious, and his smile reflected the joy he found in the presence of the Lord.In his younger years, Jarvis was known for his vivacious and outgoing nature. He was a vibrant soul who loved making new friends, sharing laughter, and spreading joy wherever he went. His infectious sense of humor and kind heart made him a beloved presence in the lives of those who knew and loved him.Above all, Jarvis held a profound love for his family, especially his mother. His love was expressed not just through words, but through music and writing-two passions that allowed him to pour out his heart and reflect his deep gratitude for the people he cherished. Jarvis's love for his family was unwavering, and he often shared his appreciation in ways that touched the soul.Through and due to life challenges Jarvis's final years were lived out in TDCJ where he met his unfortunate and tragic transition home.

Jarvis's legacy of faith, love, and joy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him. His vibrant spirit, warm smile, and joyful heart will be greatly missed, but his memory will forever be cherished.Jarvis is survived by his only son Javarious, Mother Freeda (Mr. Scott), Father Reginald, and Grandfather Larry. His sisters Sameshia, Andrea, Tiffany, his only brother Andre. His Aunts Kesia, Suarez and Leoper, and his Uncles Wesley, Fred and Lorenzo. Additional family includes a host of Great Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends that love him dearly. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Flora Mae Carter, many Great Aunts, Uncles and Cousins that welcomed him home.
