Ms. Jasmine Spiller

SPILLER, Ms. Jasmine - Age 42, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Lavigne House - Burton, MI. Family hour 11:00 AM Friday, February 6, 2026, at Adams Memorial Guiding Light C.O.G.I.C., 5230 Detroit St., with funeral service commencing at 12:00 PM Pastor Victor Adams, officiating. Interment. Great Lakes National Cemetery,4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI 48442 Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:00 AM Friday. Ms. Spiller will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday.

Jasmine Ayanna-Shaa Spiller was born on February 27, 1983, in Flint, Michigan, to Jasper Reid Jr. and Karen Spiller. She was affectionately known as "Jazzy Pooh" by all who loved her.

Jasmine attended Marion D. Crouse Instructional Center, where she enjoyed participating in school activities and later graduated. She was truly an angel to everyone she encountered. Her affectionate expressions and joyful spirit had a way of bringing light into every room. Jasmine found happiness in the simple things-playing with her favorite ropes, strings, and teddy bears; listening to music; enjoying her favorite tacos, cheese eggs, anything sweet; and spending cherished time with her family, especially her beloved "momma," whom she loved dearly.

Jasmine's presence brought out the best in people. Her loving spirit touched countless lives, and she was deeply loved by all who had the blessing of knowing her. She will be missed beyond words and remembered always.

Jasmine leaves to cherish her loving memory her mother, Karen (Kenneth) Houston of Mount Morris, MI; three brothers, Beuhammad "Jamal" (Tracy) Spiller of Mandan, ND, Keith (Taia) Horton of Mansfield, TX, and Juson Hawkins of Los Angeles, CA; three sisters, Keisha Horton of Austin, TX, Jaslene (Preston) Black of Detroit, MI, and Katessa Belk of Fort Worth, TX; her beloved nieces and nephews, J'hon, Terill, Zy'ehr, Jayla, Cierra, and Brooklyn of Flint, MI; Kyrie, Nariyah, and Keilani of Mansfield, TX; Damiah, Isaiah, Alijah, and MaRiyah of Fort Worth, TX; and Journey of Detroit, MI; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including special "aunts" Sherry Herron-Rudolph and Robin Jackson, and special friend Yvonne (Babygirl) Armstead.

Jasmine made her peaceful transition on January 25, 2026, at Lavigne House in Burton, Michigan.

Jasmine was preceded in death by her father, Jasper Reid Jr.; grandparents Johnnie (Clara) Spiller, Priscilla Degraftenreed, Jasper Reid Sr., and Bulah Reid; uncle, Kenneth Spiller; and aunt, Brenda Reid.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the entire Hurley Medical Center ICU, Critical Care Unit, 7th and 9th floor staff, with special thanks to Danielle Tipton and Adrienne Colter, for their compassion and care.
