Hi Bailey Family, I've just recently been in touch with Dawn and was shocked to learn about Jason. My name is Jenni Dodge and I grew up on Skyline Drive in Highland Mills NY, not far from where you lived many many years ago. I remember being friends with Dawn and Jason at such a young age and remember the horrible day that Jason fell out of the tree. I know my parents were very upset and sad, and I believe I was around 13 yrs old, and it was the first real tragic thing that had happened to someone I actually knew and played with. Jason was such a cute and friendly kid when I knew him! However, over the years after your family moved away, I lost touch with many of my high school friends- including Dawn- and never knew what a wonderful life Jason was able to lead! It was really nice to read about all of the wonderful things he was able to do, and the lives he touched, and I'm truely sorry for your loss.

Joy, my heart goes out to you. I will never forget the special relationship the two of you had. All the best to you and your family.

Jason was my best friend growing up in grammar and highschool. He was such a warm and loving person who also could make you laugh until you had pains in your side. I will miss him dearly...loved him very much and his parents and friends treated me like family. My sympathies and prayers go out to all of you at his sad time.

I will never forget the morning I did not want to go running....then remembered I should because I could. My run on the beach that day was because of Jason. The sunrise over the Atlantic that day paled in comparison to the light of inspiration that came from Jason. Dawn, my thoughts are with you and your family during this time. Jason is not only walking where he is, he is running.

Jason, I haven't seen you in a very long time but I will always remember you as a fun and loving person. I remember you when you were walking and then when you were in your wheelchair but now I'm going to think of you walking, running, dancing and enjoy yourself in heaven. God bless you....you will be missed.

J, I was truely blessed to have had you in my life the past two years. As one of my closest friends, I will always cherish the late night chats, my lunch breaks outside playing Yar's Revenge,(you know I was better than you!) and the interest in music we shared. I miss you. love mare.

My parents just told me about your passing; my heart goes out to your family. I'll always remember you -hearing you play guitar is a memory I will always cherish. I know you're in a much better place now and one day we will meet again.

This news shocked me deeply, but my shock pales in comparison to what you all are going through. I can only imagine the heartache that you are dealing with.
All I have to offer is my support in whatever way you need, my prayers for your strength, and my love for all of you.

Jason was one of the most amazing men i've ever known, one of the best friends i have ever had, and i will always love and miss him greatly.

I think the phrase "Few have overcome more and complained less" is the most amazing and appropriate phrase to describe Jay. He is missed by so many, including myself. Just looking at the photo posted here made me catch my breath. What a wickedly funny man he was. Our loss, God's gain. My love and good wishes to the family.
