Jason Lynn Choate, age 39, of Pickens, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, in Blossom, Texas. Jason was born September 9, 1984, to Leon and Doris Doreen Noah Choate in Claremore, Oklahoma.
Jason, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, left behind a legacy of love, adventure, and dedication. He grew up attending Abundant Life Church in Pickens, Oklahoma, where his faith was nurtured and his sense of community was formed.
Jason cherished his nieces and nephew, finding immense joy and pride in their accomplishments and lives. His love for his family was evident in the time he spent with them and the memories they created together.
Professionally, Jason found great fulfillment in his work as a rigger, boilermaker and pipe welder in the oil refinery industry. He was passionate about his job and took pride in the skills and hard work it required.
An adventurous spirit, Jason loved to travel and especially enjoyed guided fishing trips, with deep sea fishing being a favorite pastime. The thrill of the catch and the beauty of the ocean brought him great happiness.
Jason was also a fan of all genres of music, finding joy and connection in a unique blend of sounds and stories. Whether at family gatherings or out on his adventures, he loved being surrounded by his loved ones, sharing laughter, stories, and good times.
Jason's memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His love for life, family, and the adventures he embraced will continue to inspire and bring joy to those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Jason is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Everidge and Edna Choate, and his maternal grandparents, Culbertson and Ora Noah. Uncles Culbertson Noah Jr., Johnson Noah & Donald Noah.
Jason is survived by his father and mother, Leon and Doris Choate of Pickens, Oklahoma; two brothers, Jonathan & Rebecca Choate of Blossom, Texas, and Montana Noah of Mt. Herman, Oklahoma; one sister and brother-in-law, Krystal & Joseph Hill of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; two nieces and one nephew, Khyler, Kynley and Jaxton Hill all of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; uncles and aunts, Floyd and Patricia Choate of Pickens, Oklahoma, Marietta Battiest of Hugo Oklahoma, Levi Choate of Oleta, Oklahoma, Darlene Estrada of Battiest, Oklahoma, Diantha Noah of Mt. Herman, Oklahoma, Angela Noah of Battiest, Oklahoma and Arnold Noah of Battiest, Oklahoma and a host of other family and friends.
Celebration of life will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at the Abundant Life Church in Pickens with Pastor Patricia Choate officiating. Interment will follow in the Noah Family Cemetery in Pickens, Oklahoma. No visitation is planned with arrangements entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
