Jason Lawrence Covington, Jr., 31, died on Monday, April 24, 2023. Born, November 11, 1991, in Cheraw, SC, he was a son of Jason Lawrence Covington and Michele Lee Summerlin. Jason was a spur of the moment type person and enjoyed life to its fullest.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Barbara Alice Griggs, to whom Jason was the light of her eye.
Jason leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter, Anna Claire Cagle of Cheraw, SC; his parents, Jason Lawrence Covington of Cheraw, and Michele Lee Summerlin (Kerry Lee Berry) of Chesterfield, SC; paternal grandparents, Julius Covington, Sr. (Debbie); maternal grandparents, Larry and Becky Summerlin; a brother, Dennis Summerlin of Fayetteville, NC; sisters, Jessica Southerland (Milton) of Sanford, NC, and Brittany Kelly of Cheraw, SC; aunts and uncles, Julius Covington, Paige Efird, and Heath Summerlin; and nieces and nephews, Kaleb, McKynzie, Marley, Mya, McKayla, Grayson, Skylar, Huntley, and Kamari.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Kiser Funeral Home has been entrusted to serve the Covington family in their time of grief.
