Jason M. Hamlet, 54, died in the early hours of April 27th, 2024 at JourneyCare in Barrington, IL, after a year-long battle with central nervous system lymphoma.
Jason was born March 30th, 1970 to Arthur W. and Lois W. (Moltzan) Hamlet in Oak Lawn, IL. He graduated from Addison Trail High School in 1988. He married once from 1997-2011 where he adopted her daughter Alison from a previous relationship and together they had their son Justin.
He is survived by his daughter Alison (Tim) Kerrn, son Justin (Nicole) Hamlet, and romantic partner Lisa Rippa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jason, a former resident of Henry, IL and most recently a resident of Elgin, IL, enjoyed playing bags with friends, spending a sunny day in a pool, and watching a Bears or Cubs game with homemade food. He was well known for his jokes, athleticism, homemade Italian food, and back rubs. He was experienced in a variety of work industries, including warehouse and restaurant.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the Advocate Sherman Hospital team in Elgin, IL for the great care they gave to him during his many stays.
