Jason Higbee Obituary

Published by Eastgate Funeral Home - Garland on Sep. 11, 2017.

Jason Caine Higbee was born at Presbyterian Hospital in the city of Dallas on June 9th, 1974. He lived a full and rambunctious life of skateboarding and breaking the rules. Jason loved his daughter, wife, animals, and fishing like nothing else. His daughter, Enique Higbee, was brought into this world on January 4th, 2001. Jason would always tell Enique that he loved her more than anything in the entire universe. There is no real way to describe the relationship he had with his daughter. Jay later met his forever partner and wife, Julie, on December 18th, 2008. Jason owned a successful hardwood flooring business and he was also a skilled mechanic. Jason loved his stepson Jared Thompson and his four children, Budro and Momo Jenkins.

Jay could find the beauty in each and every person or thing, whether good or bad. In his younger days he grew to love Graffiti, and he continued to be passionate about the art ever since. He could take out a journal and freely draw out symbols and names like it was effortless. He always had an artistic eye for everything. Jason was mostly kind, calm, and collected - it took a lot for him to get bothered by something. If he wasn’t chill, someone went and pissed him off. Jason wasn’t always so mellowed out, he was always very cheeky, funny, and silly. It was hard to not laugh when he cracked a joke or did something hilarious.

Jason is survived by his wife Julie Stovall Higbee; his daughter Enique Higbee, whom he shared with his former spouse, Dawn Dryer; his father Charles L. Higbee; mother Carolyn Pate Loeser; stepfather William Loeser; mother-in-law Debbie Stovall; father-in-law Joe Stovall; grandfather Noel D. Pate; sisters Tammy Gilchrist and Peyton Higbee; brother-in-law Larry Gilchrist; niece Amber Gilchrist, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

I remember when we met skating. We became friends and hung out throwing darts, dyed hair, broke rules, and had a great time. You will be missed.
