Jason Lewis Long

1983 - 2023

Jason Lewis Long, 39, found peace on his terms, on April 30th, 2023.
Jason was born on October 17th, 1983 in Columbus, Ohio.
Jason moved to Billings, MT with his family in grade school from Texas. Jason proudly obtained his GED in 2005.
Jason met the love of his life Catherine Houston in the early summer of 2004 and they married on their 1st anniversary, August 1, 2005. They spent 19 years loving each other, gaming, and loving and cuddling there very special fur babies.
Jason was a private person. He was quiet and could often be found behind everyone else (he had to be he was too tall to stand in front listening to music or playing a video game. He loved gaming with his wife, friends and family.
When Jason loved, he was all in. He loved his family, friends with all his heart. He was a true "nerd". He loved World of Warcraft, Star Wars, Star Trek, Rick & Morty. The list is endless as a lover of anime. One could say over 9,000
Jason was the first person to crack a joke (very possibly inappropriate) in any situation to lighten the mood and make you laugh.
Jason loved rough housing with his nieces and nephews. Being the gentle giant, he often was used as a jungle gym and always let them ride on his back or they made him walk around with them attached to his legs. He had a huge smile and laugh that will be remembered forever.
Jason worked as a Utility Locater aka Damage Prevention Specialist for the last 18 years. He ended his successful career with Summit Utility Locating Services. He served our community with many wonderful people including his best friend.
Jason would want the Force to Be With You, and for you to know the dark times will pass.
Jason was preceded in death by his brothers Thomas & Justin and his beloved fur babies, Reesee and Howler.
Jason is survived by his loving wife Catherine Long; his fur babies, Leo, Widgett and Peanut; mother-in-law, Wendy Knight; father-in-law Randy Houston and his wife Rhonda; sister and brother-in-law, Shauna and Kenneth Keierleber and their children, Austin (his son Gabriel), Kailee, Wyatt, Olyvia and Deklyn; his best friend and cousin Jake Bachellor and his wife Sierra.
He is also survived by his brother Justin's children and his mother Phyllis Holloway and his step-father Tim Holloway.
A celebration of life will be held in the basement at the FOE from 12-4 pm on Sunday, May 7, 2023. 526 Laurie Lane in the heights. The celebration will be a pot-luck. If you want to bring something please do.
