Jason Christopher McVey, 51, passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2023.
Jason was a devoted son to his mother, Judy McVey, Mt Sterling, KY, who cherished him dearly. Jason's love and respect for his mother knew no bounds. He always went above and beyond to ensure her happiness and well-being.
He is also survived by a brother, Jeff (Amy) McVey, Lexington, KY, and a nephew, Logan (Jillian) McVey, Columbia, SC. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe McVey. Not to be forgotten is Jason's beagle, Daisy. Daisy was more than just a pet; she was his source of comfort and his constant companion.
Jason's impact extended far beyond his immediate family. He is survived by a vast network of friends and family who were touched by his genuine kindness, unwavering friendship, and contagious laughter. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone smile, and his presence brought joy to all those fortunate enough to know him.
His caring nature, kind smile, and devotion to his loved ones will forever be etched in our hearts and memories. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made on our lives will endure.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on July 22, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church, Mt. Sterling, KY. Visitation with the family will occur prior to the celebration from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the London-Laurel County Rescue Squad, 913 Fire Rescue Drive, London, KY 40744.
Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals is assisting the family with arrangements.
