Jason Restad Obituary
We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Jason Henry Restad, age 68, of Fort Collins, Colorado. He passed away on Sunday November 19, 2023, peacefully at Pathways Hospice with his wife Karen by his side and surrounded by family and friends. His long courageous fight with prostate cancer was emblematic of his tenacity for life.
Jason was born in Duluth, Minnesota on September 2, 1955, to Carol and Sigmund Restad and grew up in Palmer, Alaska.
Jason obtained a bachelor's degree in mathematics in 1978 from University of Alaska. His enduring curiosity and drive for knowledge fueled his passion for computers and paved the way for a successful 33 years as a tech analyst for NRCS.
Jason and Karen met at the Fairbanks Choir of the North. In their 42 years of marriage and sharing lives, music was a lasting bond.
Jason is predeceased by his mother, Carol Restad. He is survived by his wife, Karen, four children, Joshua, Evar, Phaedra, and Jacobi, and two grandchildren, Ethan and Rowan. He is also survived by his father Sigmund and siblings, Mary, Lori, Eric, Joyce, and Mark.
Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church at 531 S. College Ave. Fort Collins, CO 80524 on Sunday December 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Habitat for Humanity and Pathways Hospice.
A service for Jason will be held Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church.

I did not know Jason that well, directly, yet through you and your dedicated care for him, and for others - like my mother LaVonne, I have been blessed by you both. May the Lord be near you at this time, bringing you His Love in your loss and reminding you of good memories of His Grace to the two of you.

I will always remember the dedicated spirit of Jason ... we were able to connect at American Baptist Church in Fort Collins. He lived his faith and shared positivity with everyone who interacted with him! My thoughts are with his family and friends.
