Jason Alan Schulz, 54 passed away November 5, 2025 in Fargo.
Jason was born on Thanksgiving morning on November 26, 1970 to Wendy Sulewski and Ken Schulz. He attended his mother's kindergarten, then St. John's Academy grades through grade six. Jason attended the Jamestown public school Junior High and High School through grade 12. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1989. He applied at MIT in Boston. After 3 years of study Jason returned to Jamestown. While working in Jamestown he met Dina Hammersley and they had their first born son, Jamie Alan on March 21st, 1994, who served as their ring bearer at their wedding three years later. Their second son, Brett Daniel was added to the family on July 4, 1998.
Jason enjoyed working for NAU Country Insurance Company for almost 30 years. He was a Senior Application Developer.
Jason loved teaching his sons how to fish, play chess, video games, and play soccer when they were young. Tent camping was a favorite with our family and later with just Dina and Jason. Jason's fishing kayak was a great place of solitude for him. His favorite soccer team was Manchester United, which he followed religiously since his childhood.
Jason is survived by his wife of 28 years, Dina; children, Jamie (Kristen Carson) Schulz and Brett Schulz; mother, Wendy (Mark Pederson) Sulewski; father, Ken (Kathy) Schulz; brother, Mike (Joyce) Schulz, their children, Ligia and Ben; his many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Craig Groth; Nana, Ligia Sulewski; Dziadzi, Frank, G. Sulewski; cousin, Michael Spiropoulos; Grandma, Ruth Schulz; Grandpa, Richard Schulz; uncle, Ron Schulz; and uncle, Larry Schulz.
Jason will be remembered for the valiant strength and courage he displayed in fighting addiction, depression, anxiety and added physical pain after suffering a heart attack, having open heart surgery and retinal tears earlier this year. We are so heartbroken that Jason's valiant struggle against the darkness simply became too overwhelming.
