To The Akers Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Jay. I worked with him at DEC, Compaq, HP and Juniper Hill. The moment Jay walked into a room it would be brighter, and happier. Sunday mornings at Juniper he was a welcomed sight of friendliness and joy. We all looked forward to his arrival. We will miss Jay and his welcoming and caring smile along with his personality. The world needs more people like Jay.

Bear was one of the greatest Human Beings that I ever knew. It was my Honor to have know him. Over the past 40 Years we had many great times together. Playing Golf, and just having a great time. To my Friend, you will be missed. Bear you will always be in my thoughts and my prayers. Rest in Peace.

I feel so fortunate to have met Bear and got to know him the last few years. Just a wonderful easy going guy. I will forever cherish our conversations, stories, and laughs at the pub. I always left in a better mood than I came in with after seeing Bear. He was a friend to all who knew him and will be deeply missed. Fridays won´t be the same without you Bear, see you on the other side my friend.

I worked with Jay for many years at Dec, then through the Compaq/HP days, mostly in virtual meetings as I was based in Scotland but we would meet in person once or twice a year, he was always very helpful, had a genuine interest in others. condolences to his wife Patti & son Michael. Delia Keir

I´m as sorry as sorry can be to hear of Jay´s passing. He was the sweetest and kindest. Jay and I grew up together, K-12. Three of us Akers, Anketell, Allen always in the same classroom. Always a comfort to know walking into school on the first day Jay would be there.

I first met Jay working at DEC in the 70s and later reconnected with him many years later when the company became HP. He was always upbeat and easy to talk to. R.I.P Jay with prayers of comfort for family and friends.
