Jay Byers

We were with him the evening of April 16th at a Simpson meeting of Des Moines alums and although none of those present had been born at the time Darrell graduated from Simpson, Jay made us feel very welcome and we had a nice visit. He gave a detailed report of the advances that had been made at Simpson. In his visit with us he talked about his family with obvious pride.

An unfathamable loss to our family, near and far, Jay's community and this world as a whole. Jay was a sterling man, gone much too soon. Katie, Sophie and Charlotte, our hearts go out to you, and we keep you in our prayers.

Jay was a wonderful addition to our Simpson College family. We are deeply saddened by his parting. Our thoughts are with Jay's family and the Simpson College Community

I worked with Jay at GDMP. Jay was a special person. A great husband and father. Into so many different aspects of life. I was very saddened to hear of his passing. RIP Jay Byers.
