Jay, John Paustian , Bill Gaedtke and myself, had a lot of good times together! Whether we we listing to tunes or riding around in one of John´s unusual vehicles! (Panel van, or the big Delivery Truck. Cruising around we would look at Jay and there was that grin, and the fun would begin! Lowell Zahrt

I was shocked to see Jay´s passing. He was such a special/important friend to my brother, Bill Gaedtke. Jay and Lisa supported him as not many friends would. Lisa I extend my deepest sympathy to your family.

Jay was always Mr Hospitality. Whether it was a Halloween party thru the Tech, a van ride to the Derby, a New Years bash or a cookout in your back yard, Jay was always ready with a cold beer, a warm hug and a joke or two to make you smile! My thoughts and sympathy are with you Deb and family. Jay will always be in my memories and heart Beth

In my photo albums, almost every group shot has the two of us side by side. If there was mischief to be made, we were the usual suspects. From Grant School to First English, Sunday School, vacation Bible school, Luther League, Boy Scouts, John Muir, Wausau West, Rib Mountain skiing, the Y, Red Rail and more. One could say, a rouges gallery of "The Boys" with Jay, always at the center of our mischievous childhood and young adult adventures. I miss you, rest in peace my dear old friend.

LeAnne and family,
I would like to extend my deepest condolences to your family on hearing of the loss of Jay. Our families were brought together through the WI National Guard and our fathers. I again found Jay while curling at the Wausau Curling Club and it was a joy to reconnect and reminisce. A special memory was seeing him again with my Dad at the Grant School 100 year celebration. Your brother was a gem to all that knew him. May his special light forever shine. He will be truly missed.
