14 years ago, he began working at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as an Engineering Technician. This was his dream job, and he met and worked with an amazing group of co-workers that he cared about very much.
Jay was a very talented craftsman, mechanic, and thinker who could fix just about anything. As a kind spirit, he generously shared his time and talents with so many people in his everyday life.
Jay was such an incredible husband and father to all of his children. He loved spending time with his wife and family at the Outer Banks, playing video games, working on cars, and being with his family whether he was relaxing at home, or
on an adventure.
Jay had a way of making everyone in his life feel important and loved. He was a kind person with a joyful sense of humor. He will be missed so much by all of his family and friends.
He was taken suddenly, but all of our hearts are filled with precious memories that we were so lucky to create with him.
He was a father, brother, friend and husband. He was a man of good will, of discipline and routine, and who put his family first above all else. As we all come together to celebrate Jay's life, let us all remember, as he would have wanted, a good memory that we all have shared with him. Thank you Jay for bringing light into all our hearts. We will always love and cherish your memory.
The celebration of his life and funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 02, 2023, at Saint Johns the Evangelist Catholic Church, at 1pm with reception to follow.
