Jay Reaster Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Directors on Jan. 29, 2025.
Jay Douglas Reaster of Eustis, Florida passed away on Wednesday January 29, 2025, at the age of 86. He was born to his parents Howard and Velma Reaster in Dayton, Ohio on April 4, 1938. Jay lived many years in Tampa, Florida and moved to Orlando, Florida in 1981 for work and a change of scenery. He was a member of the United States Navy. While in Orlando he met the love of his life Marcia Ann in 1983, and they married in 1984. They both moved to Eustis, Florida shortly after. Jay's hobbies included following football and being a huge supporter of Florida teams. He was also a member of Gold's Gym. Both Jay and his wife started their own hotel interior design business, and it is still active. Jay was a beloved husband, father, and friend who always had a joke or a quick liner to make others laugh.
Jay is survived by his wife of 40 years Marcia Reaster, and son Michael (Karen) Reaster of Apollo Beach, Florida.
A gathering will be held on Friday January 31, 2025, from 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at the Hamlin and Hilbish Chapel.
Parking for Hamlin & Hilbish will be in the parking lot across the street next to Lake Eustis Christian Church. There will be cones, a sign, and possible police assistance with crossing. For those unable to walk or needing additional assistance there is parking in the back of the building.
