Jay Frank Stepp
September 14, 1956 - October 11, 2025
Jay F. Stepp, 69, of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, after a short illness. Born in Dallas, Jay graduated from Canton High School and earned a mechanical engineering degree from UTA. He retired in 2021 after 35 years with Lockheed Martin.
A member and ordained elder at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Worth, he also volunteered at FPC's Community Crossroads in the dental clinic and as a food driver; always serving others with quiet strength and compassion. Jay was a Stephen Minister, and served on a variety of church committees and church session. He was a loving "JJ", cherishing the time he and Liz spent together with their grandsons. Jay also enjoyed his woodworking shop, building treasured wood pieces for family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elizabeth Nelson Stepp, daughter Elisa (Mike) Masowich, grandsons Colin and Jake Masowich, sister Betty Brown, and several nephews. Jay was preceded in death by his parents R.A. and Agnes Stepp, and brother Don Stepp.
You are invited to a Celebration of Jay's Life on Thursday, October 30th, at 11:00am in the Sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Worth, 1000 Penn Street,76102,with a Reception immediately following at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are welcome in Jay's memory to First Presbyterian Church Community Crossroads, or to Heart to Heart Hospice, 6940 River Park Circle, Fort Worth, TX 76116, or a charity of your choice. Jay will be inurned in the church's Columbarium & Memorial Garden at a later date.
