So glad I got to know Jay, very interesting person. He had a good way to look at situations in life. My prayers for the family.

For many years we spent many Saturdays at Jays Wagon Wheel with our children dancing the night away. It was a clean family friendly place to spend time with family and friends and Jay was always welcoming and his musical talent was awesome. You could just tell he was in his happy place behind any instrument playing for any size crowd. Jay you will be missed and we pray for Carolyn and the family

Well, he outlived a lot of them, and i'm really going to miss him.He was a wonderful man who picked the guitar and all the other instruments, especially still guitar. And he would play the last date, and he knew that it would always bring tears to my eyes plus he'd call me S.G.whitaker, come up and sing for us tonight at the wagon wheel. It's just so hard to know that he's gone, but I know he's in a better place. And I know he's up there with Donald and all the others I know. He's not sick anymore, but I'm really going to miss him. And I know I will see them both. And all the others, when it's my time I love you, Jay.
You was my buddy, and I'll always remember. When you'd be up there i'm s74 at the hill and around big place, it was called country something. And they need to play at the Ponderosa too, so I've known you and Carolyn for a long time, y'all were like family, so God bless.
I'll always remember you.
