Jayne Marie Blank, 73, of Grand Island, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022, at Grand Island Lakeview Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, at Third City Christian Church in Grand Island with the Rev. Scott Jones officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Palmer at a later date.

Jayne was born July 24, 1948, to Ross and Betty (Zundel) Waite in Watertown, S.D. She grew up in Watertown, until moving to California, then back to Hayti, S.D. In 1959, her family moved to Wood River. After high school, Jayne moved to Dannebrog, then back to South Dakota for a few years. She eventually settled in back in Nebraska. While living in Nebraska, Jayne had an in-home daycare she operated for several years. She also worked for CNCS in Grand Island until her retirement several years ago.
Jayne enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, scratch tickets, baking and gardening. She also was an avid blood donor. Her greatest love was getting to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and pets.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Larry (Becky) Kociemba of Grand Island, Donna (Brooke) Eilts of Grand Island, and Dawn (Ted) Mieth of Central City; her siblings, Terry Waite of Canton, S.D., Larry (Kathy) Waite of Oklahoma City, Okla., Linda Wiese of Phillips, Barb (Jim) Wiltgen of Kearney, and Donna (Russ) Smith of Parker, S.D.; an honorary daughter, Kim Sallenger of Grand Island; 18 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Blank.
