Jayne Davidson Obituary

Jayne was born on April 26, 1952 and passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018. Jayne was a resident of Goshen, Vermont at the time of passing. She grew up in Wakefield where she received her early education and graduated from Wakefield High School, class of 1970. The memorial service "In Celebration of Her Life" will be held on Friday, January 5, 2019, at 11 AM, at the Brandon Congregational Church. A private graveside committal service and burial will take place, at a later date. Following the ceremony, the family will receive friends, at the Goshen Town Hall, for a time of remembrance. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in her memory to; The Foley Cancer Clinic c/o Rutland Regional Medical Center, 160 Allen Street, Rutland, VT 05701.

Jayne played a very special role in my life that no one can ever fill. I was one of her case kids back in the early to late 90s and we kept in touch over the next 26 years. She was a very loving, caring lady that wanted the best for her case kids and her own kids. You hear the stories of really bad situations with case workers and foster homes often but I have to say my experience with Jayne throughout the years was that of a person who just wanted to truly help. Her family, folks like myself, her co workers, and anyone else that had the pleasure of meeting her have truly lost a very special lady. Tears of flowed down my face the past 24 hours but those tears symbolize not sadness but the love that I have and can not show her anymore. I will miss Jayne and I will always love her and what she has done for me.

Jayne was one of a kind with an amazing heart, great compassion and humor that extended itself to helping youth and families. I will miss our conversations about Lost, sharing books with her, and many, many other things. My sympathies to her family. Jayne will always hold a special place in my heart.

I was Jayne's admin for the past 16 years. We had many years of laughing, working, celebrating. She knew how much I liked to type so she always let me do all her typing. She will be greatly missed by me and all or her coworkers. She was so much more than a social worker. She was a wonderful caring person. She cared about all her kids. There was nothing Jayne would not do for anyone. My condolences to her family and friends. She was an amazing woman who will never be forgotten.
