Jayne Norman Parson

Jayne Norman Parson, 71, retired nurse for Maury Regional Medical Center, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at her residence on Brannon Court. A memorial service will be conducted Friday at 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ricky Clay officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Robert L. Norman and Helen Byrd Norman. She graduated from Columbia Central High School. Mrs. Parson loved her dog, Scooter. She was member of House of Prayer Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Tracy Parson of Columbia; grandchildren, Joseph Symlar, Sheliah Cooper (Chris) McKnight, Stephanie (Jeff) Hines, Jon Colburn, Demontre Cooper, Christopher "C.J." Young; thirteen great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Tammy Parson (Jeff) Eddlemon; dog, Scooter; sister, Shirley Norman McKennon of Columbia; brother, R.L. "Bobby" (Alma) Norman of Water Valley; sisters-in-law, Ellen (Doug) Stanford, Jonola Pullum; brothers-in-law, Jack Parson, Chuck Parson; niece, Lesa McKennon and a host of other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Spencer Parson; and son, Michael Scot Parson.
