Jayne Riker, 74, of Amarillo, TX passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 10, 2025, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Howard K. Batson, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Jayne was born July 19, 1951, in Lamesa, TX to Robert and Hattie Riker. She graduated from Lamesa High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from Texas Tech University.
She married Jerome O’Rear in 1972; he preceded her in death in 2017.
In 1976, Jayne moved to Amarillo where she was a member of First Baptist Church. Jayne was a homemaker and she was involved in all of her children's activities. Her friends were an important part of her life and she enjoyed playing canasta with them. Jayne enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with her family.
She also was preceded in death by her son, Gregory O’Rear in 1998.
Survivors include her children, Allison O’Rear, Mark O’Rear (Lydia), and Jennifer Woolf (Sage), all of Amarillo; her twin sister, Joan Riker Wilkie (Jerry), of Amarillo; brother, David Riker (Charlotte), of Denver City, TX; and nine grandchildren, Peyton, Grady, Vivienne, Saylor, Oliver, Emma, Quincy, Jude, and Andrew.
The family suggests memorials be made to First Baptist Church.
