Jayson Braddy Obituary

Jayson Micah Braddy, 39, of Nashville passed away on March 14, 2026.

Jayson was born on September 20, 1986, in Cleveland, Tennessee.

He is survived by his loving children, Deklyn and Delaney Braddy of Cleveland, Tennessee; his parents Janet Smallen Smith (Trey Spelta) of Nashville and Jay Morton Braddy (Susan) Dallas, Georgia; his sister, Jenna Cox (Brian) of Jackson, Tennessee and his beloved dog, Onyx.

Jayson was an electrician and was working toward becoming fully licensed. He was dedicated to his trade and education, recently finishing last semester at the top of his class—an accomplishment he was incredibly proud of.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. In his spare time, Jayson enjoyed flying drones, building Legos, and spending time outdoors. He was also a devoted sports fan who loved cheering on the Atlanta Braves and Alabama Football.

Jayson will be remembered for his love of family, his determination, and the joy he found in the outdoors and the simple things in life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survived by maternal great grandmother Nora Akins of Loudon, Tennessee, paternal grandmother Carolyn Braddy of Kennesaw, Georgia, Aunts Sharon(Mark)Salsberry of Kennesaw, Georgia and Ann(Bob)Dellinger of Dallas, Georgia and Uncle Don (Lis) Dodson of Cleveland, Tennessee, Lisa Moore of Inverness, Florida, and Wes Dodson of Inverness, Florida; and many cousins.

Proceeded in death by grandparents Betty and Don Dodson, and Richard E Braddy all of Cleveland, Tennessee.

Serving as Pallbearers will be lifelong bestfriend, Josh Greer, with brothers Jeremey Greer and Brandon Greer, and cousins Adam Salsberry, Andrew Salsberry, and Matthew Dodson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made towards supporting his dog, Onyx. Jayson was working towards competing in UKC and AKC hunt test with him, and we would like to continue that with Onyx. Donations can be made on Venmo to @muddywaterkennels. 100% of donations will go to training for Onyx.
