JC Evans, a beloved husband, father, and PawPaw, passed away on May 27, 2025, in Tomball, Texas, at the age of 80.
He was born in Camden, Texas, to his parents Audry Geraldine Asburn and Jesse Carl Evans, and was the oldest of nine children.
JC is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Pat Evans. He also leaves behind his sons: Michael and wife Kerrie of Magnolia, Texas, and their children Cason and Karlie. Tommy and wife Darla of La Porte, Texas, and their children Ty and Tanner. Johnny and wife Lora of North Carolina, and their children Evan and Ella. He is also survived by his sisters Ann and Mary Jane, brothers Earl and Malcolm, and numerous nieces and nephews.
For the past 36 years, JC and Pat were proud owners of Carpets of Tomball, the area's oldest floor covering business. Their dedication and service made a lasting impact on the community.
JC had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and especially bass fishing. He served as president of the Port City Bass Club for seven consecutive years and earned numerous trophies for his consistent top-three finishes in local tournaments.
Another of JC's passions was barbequing. He and Pat were known for hosting lively gatherings at their home, where JC's famous ribs and brisket were always a highlight. His hospitality and joy in bringing people together left lasting memories for all who attended.
A man of many talents, JC was known for his ability to fix and build almost anything. His hardworking hands and generous heart made him a trusted friend and a deeply loved member of his community.
JC Evans was a great man who will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.
