Jealeta Treva Bigham

Treva Jealeta Bigham, 91, of Hilltop Lakes, Texas, passed away April 8, 2025. Born on December 5, 1933, in Tulia, Texas to Mac and Treva (Hefner) Elliott. She grew to become a beloved member of her community and a cherished matriarch to her family.
On July 10, 1954, she married the love of her life, Norman Bigham. Together they built a strong and loving partnership that spanned more than six decades until Norman's passing on January 4, 2019. Their marriage was a testament to mutual respect, support, and unwavering devotion.
Jealeta was an accomplished clerk at the Hockley County Tax Office for many years, and her dedication to her work was matched by her commitment to her community. She served as a member of the City Council in Levelland and was actively involved in the Hilltop Chapel, where she made many dear friends and participated in various outreach activities.
An avid lover of landscaping, Jealeta found joy in nurturing her gardens. She also enjoyed playing bridge, participating in the ladies auxiliary, and providing meals for those in need. Her kindness extended beyond her immediate family; she generously supported her husband in his prison ministry by baking cookies for inmates, a testament to her compassionate nature.
Jealeta is survived by her son, Chris Bigham and wife Pattie; her daughter, LaShey Geddes and husband Gil; her grandchildren, Chad Bigham and wife Lindsay, and Tylor Bigham; as well as her great-grandchildren, Chandler Bigham and Leigha Bigham, all of whom will carry on her spirit and values.
Jealeta was preceded in death by both her parents and her husband.
In honor of Jealeta's legacy, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, c/o Clark Funeral Home.
A celebration of Jealeta's life will be held at a later date in Texas, where family and friends will gather to share their memories and pay tribute to a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many.
Jealeta will be deeply missed, but her love and kindness will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her.
