Jean Aker Obituary
Jean Daniel Aker, 83, of Albany, GA passed away Friday, November 7, 2025. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Minister Paul Montandon will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg, GA.
Born in Albany, GA, Mrs. Aker had been a life long resident except for a short time when her position with Ford Motor Credit where she served as administrative supervisor required her to move to Macon, GA for two years. She was a substitute teacher at Lee County Primary School and a financial adviser with consumers credit after her retirement for Ford Motor credit.
survivors include her daughter, Cindi Aker Down, Lacey, WA, grandsons, John Downs (Elaina), Dickinson, North Dakota, Nicholas (Nic) Downs (Chelsey), Albany, Ga and great-grandchildren, Morgan Downs, Sophie Downs and Maxwell Downs.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
