Jean was an amazing human being and I was so blessed to be in numerous productions in which she played the violin. I also loved the stories of camping and mountain adventures with Marieta and Bob Williams. As I heard, Phil along with Marieta kept things a little crazy while Jean kept them grounded.

Jean was an important part of the lives of all of us in the Bakersfield music community. Always encouraging and welcoming, a steady example of preparation and professionalism. So many of us have decades of memories with her, and she will remain in our hearts.

One of my most favorite memories with beautiful Jean Dodson was when she played "A Whole New World" with her violin. I grew up knowing the Dodson family as our closet family friends. Their home was always so warm and full of music and I´m so blessed to know her and have her daughter as my sister. Heaven has a new sound now and it´s beautiful because of you Jean. All our love The Haighs
