Jean A. Doran, 77, of Hanover Township, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
Born December 9, 1947 in Hanover Township she was a daughter of the late Henry and Anna Sabalesky Doran.
A 1965 graduate of Hanover High School, Jean earned her degree from Wilkes University in 1969.
Jean embarked on a career in retail sales with Fowler, Dick, & Walker's The Boston Store and retired from Boscov's after forty years. She also helped operate the family farm throughout her life.
Jean enjoyed gardening and working outdoors. She was very involved in the lives of her nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, and was the planner of many family trips through the years.
Jean was a member of the Church of Saint Aloysius and the Parish of Saint Robert Bellarmine.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Margaret Krupinski and Anne Doran Smith, brothers Robert J. Doran and John H. Doran, and nephew Robert L. Doran.
Her brother James and his wife Theresa Doran, sister-in-law Margaret Doran, brother-in-law Kenneth Krupinski, several nieces and nephews, her cat Trouble, and other family and friends will miss her very much.
Jean's family is grateful for the care she received from the staff at the Office of Dr. Paul Rutkowski and at Allied Services Hospice Center.
Celebration of Jean's Life takes place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in the Church of Saint Aloysius, Barney and Division Streets in Wilkes-Barre. Visitation will begin at 9 AM, and a Funeral Mass will begin at 10 AM.
Donations to the Parish of Saint Robert Bellarmine are preferred and will honor Jean's memory.
