Jean DuScheid Obituary
Jean Servedio DuScheid, age 94, of Worthington, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
Born in New Castle, Pennsylvania June 1, 1931 to the late Antonio and Rosina Servedio.
She is preceded in death by her husband Donald J DuScheid. Jean is survived by her loving
children Judy(Rick)Schomaker, Karen(Mark) Cartwright and David(Tami) DuScheid;
grandchildren Ian(Ally), Tiffani, Quintin, Anastasia(Ryan), Brian(Vy), Stephani and Zach;
great grandson Luka; sister Ann Gross; and numerous nieces and nephews who will remember fond
memories of Aunt Jeannie. Jean was a nurse and proudly earned her BSN from Ohio University
in her mid forties. She was an accomplished seamstress and a great cook. She enjoyed spending
time with family and visiting the zoo to see her favorite animal, the giraffe. More than anything,
Jean loved her family and was immensely proud of her 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
They were her joy! The family will have a private celebration of life with interment at Ohio Western
Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio. Contributions in Jean's memory may be made to
Columbus Humane or Columbus Zoo.
