Jean Fixx Obituary
Jean was born in 1934 in Winchester, VA, the daughter of the late Philip Henry "Jake" Fixx, Sr. and Anna Elizabeth (Martin) Fixx. She was a member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church where she was very active and loved her fellow members. Jean loved children and animals, was very witty and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved dressing up in her fancy clothes and putting on her makeup when she would go to church or head into town. Jean was the oldest of her siblings and would always look out for them, she was a very good teacher and role model.
She is survived by her sisters, Shirley Fixx Ryan (Jack), Anna Virginia Fixx Unhoch, brother, Philip Henry Fixx, Jr. and her sister-in-law, Virginia Beatty Fixx.
Along with her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas Roscoe Fixx and Ralph Stuart Fixx.
A graveside service will be conducted for Jean on Monday, February 19, 2024, at 11am in Mount Hebron Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Chad Hrbek.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jean to Old Bethel United Methodist Church, 560 Old Bethel Church Road, Winchester, VA 22603.
