Jean loved and adored her family, especially her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She loved spending as much time as possible with them as she could. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her and loved her.
She is survived by her daughters, Gina Tellez and Valarie Simms; grandkids, Vanessa (Cruz) Nunez, Katelyn Tellez, Christopher (Makenna) Tellez, Leon (Andrea) Garcia, Tyler (Brenda) Simms, Dustin Stewart, and Zack (Kristin) Simms; nine great grandkids; siblings, Hazel Madeon, and Bobby Alcon.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Garcia; son, Lyle Garcia Jr.; her parents; siblings, Ernest Alcon, Vangy Cruz, Becky Romero, Bertha Lucero; goddaughter, Payton.
Lighthouse Family Mortuary in Greeley, Colorado has been entrusted with funeral arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made out to St. Jude in Care Of Lighthouse Family Mortuary, 2525 W 16th Street #C, Greeley, Colorado 80634. To leave condolences for Jean's family, www.lighthousefamilylfm.com
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th at 10 am, at First Church of the Nazarene in Greeley. Reception to follow.

I first met Jean at the school her granddaughter Payton attended. Payton was in first grade at the time. We saw each other regularly throughout Payton´s time at Skyview and grieved together when she passed. I continued to see her around town and was always blessed with her gentle spirit and sweet smile. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

I met Jean 9 years ago through the unfortunate death of a mutual friend. I introduced myself to Jean and was so happy to meet Bea´s friend. I was at another friends home and Jean walked in with another friend of mine, Jean was her mother. I said I know you, and sure enough it was Jean. I had the joy of getting to know her and her family. She always had a beautiful smile and loved to gather with her family. Beautiful soul.
