Jean Clark Gill slipped into the Lord’s Special Holy Land on August 7, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born September 20, 1936 to Byron and Ethel King Clark in the Decatur Community in Ohio.

She matriculated thru the Little Hocking and Belpre school system, graduating with the Belpre High Class of 1954, of which she was a dedicated alumnus, and attended Mountain State College. She completed her working years as Executive Secretary to the chairman of the board of Gatewood Products, Inc.

Jean was a devoted member of the Cutler Chapel Church in Belpre. Many thanks and love to the members of this church family for the dedicated prayers, concerns, and love she received from each and every one. Special thanks to the entire doctor and nursing staff of the hospital, especially the observation unit and ICU.

In addition to her parents, Jean was proceeded in death by Dana Gill, her husband of 59 years; and sons, Roger and Rick Gill.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Valli Gill (Rebecca); sisters, Barbara Watkins and Sandra Irvin (James); and grandchildren, Ryan Gill (Jonas), Dana Lee Gill, and Kyla Lynn Gill.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 15, 2025 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., South Parkersburg with Pastor Garry Hogue officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Cremation, at her request, precludes her services.

In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to The American Diabetes Foundation, The American Leukemia Foundation, or Cutler Chapel Church in Belpre, OH.
