Lynn M Grabarz beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many, peacefully passed away on October 26th 2025 in Stamford Ct. Lynn was preceded in death by her husband Frank, father John L Murphy Jr and mother Jean Murphy. She is survived by her daughter Donna Schonekas, brother John (Katy) L Murphy III, sister Wendy Murphy and her grandchildren Brendan (Megan) Lopez, Lindsay Lopez and Haley Schonekas.
Lynn was raised in Teaneck NJ and graduated from Teaneck High School. She continued her education at The College of William and Mary and graduated with a degree in Business. From there she went on to a career working for IBM and American Brands as an Internal Auditor.
After retirement her love of travel inspired her to become a travel agent. Lynn and Frank loved to travel together. They visited a total of 70 countries across all seven continents and loved to cruise. Lynn would travel to California at least once a year to visit her family and her childhood friend Paula that she had known for 83 years. When they weren't traveling abroad, they would travel to Louisiana for every holiday and special occasion.
Lynn was extremely active with the Stamford Women's Club, The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Stamford Senior Center where she developed lifelong friendships. She loved to watch the little league softball games that the Women's Club sponsored and rarely missed a luncheon at Zody's with the ladies.
Lynn truly lived life to the fullest and will be missed by so many. She will live on in our hearts and the special memories she created with us will be cherished for years to come.
A mass will be held in Lynn's honor on November 21, 2025 at St. Bridget's church in Stamford Ct at 11 am. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
