Jean Ann Hester

Jean Ann Hester, 70, of North Little Rock passed away April 23, 2024 at Chambers Health and Rehabilitation in Carlisle.  She was born in North Little Rock, January 23, 1954 to the late Louis and Norma Gershner.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman “Curt” Hester. 

In 1977 she met and married the love of her life and was happily married for 46 years before his passing.  She was a devoted Boy Scouts Mom who also worked as a receptionist for the organization.  She herself was awarded the Silver Beaver and Vigil Honor.

 Jean's smile lit up a room wherever she went.  She was a fun loving, caring, outspoken and charismatic person.  She is now in her final resting place living her eternal life with no pain, and enjoying a cup of coffee with her loving husband.

 Jean was survived by her son, Kyle (Stephanie) Hester; brother, Steve (Donna) Gershner; niece, Laura (Lynn) Duran; nephew, David (Kelli) Gershner; and a host of family and friends.

 Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, April 29, 2024 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral home.  Service and burial will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock.
