Jean Falwell Hicks, 93, of Lynchburg, passed away on April 19th, 2024 at The Summit. She was preceded in death by her loving and faithful husband of 69 years, Mr. Thomas, “Tommy” Hicks.
Born August 4th, 1930 she was the daughter of Urbane Falwell and Ruby Lawrence Falwell. Jean is survived by her three children, Phillip Hicks of Lynchburg; Rebekah (Becky) Davis (Barry) of Forest; and Joel Hicks (Crystal) of Altavista; nine grandchildren and multiple great-grandchildren.
Jean was a retired bus-driver for Campbell County schools as well as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an active member of Tree of Life Ministries. Jean along with her husband, Tommy witnessed and shared their love of the Lord to anyone they encountered. Her gift of hospitality and servant heart was not just a trait, but a purpose for her. Countless people found solace and warmth within the walls of her home, where she welcomed them with open arms & a genuine smile. Her life was a testament to her faith, lived in service to the Lord.
The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 4:00-5:30pm at Compassion Church of the Nazarene.
