Jean Hosey Obituary
95, born on July 28, 1930 to George and Theresa Gumbravich in Tunkhannock, PA and passed away on Nov. 29, 2025. Jean was the youngest of 5 siblings. She was the loving
wife of Joseph Hosey for 67 years, until his passing in 2018. Jean was a member of St. Mary's Church in Derby, KS where she served as caterer for the Knights of Columbus
for over 30 years. Jean's other passions were cooking, oil painting, crocheting and all arts and crafts. She is survived by her children, Joseph (Dale) Hosey, Doylestown, PA,
Georgeann (Ross) Clithero, Adell, WI, Michele (Ray) Clithero, Wichita, KS and Shelly Ast, Goddard, KS; sister-in-law, Pat Meehan; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; cherished friends, Nancy (Dick) Brockelman and Betty Foster and many beloved extended family members and friends. Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hosey and son, Michael Hosey ; siblings, Beatrice, Anna, Frances, Julie and Joseph. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church and Inurnment at Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date. Memorials can be sent to the American Diabetes Association or The American Heart Association.
