Jean Lambert

Jean Irene Lambert, age 85, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, died on July 19, 2022. She was born on Thursday, June 3, 1937 to Frank and Gladys Toombs in Swindon, Wiltshire, England.
Jean was a Christian and a faithful member of the Faith Christian Center in Broken Bow for many years and also volunteered in outreach ministries at Gracefully Yours. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much and always wanted what was best for them; they brought her great joy. In 1989, Jean became a United States Citizen, and she was very proud of her accomplishment. When she came to America from England on a 7-day voyage, she arrived in New York Harbor on the Queen Elizabeth II where she saw the Statue of Liberty for the first time. Jean loved to raise gardens and flower beds. She also enjoyed reading and solving crossword puzzles. Jean was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.D. Lambert Sr.; one son, J.D. Lambert Jr.; one brother, Norman Toombs; and two sisters, Veronica Rogers and Beryl Toombs.
Jean is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Annette Lambert of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pebbles and Jules Guichet III of Dayton, Texas and Karen and Billy Brooks of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Sherry Lambert of Dayton, Texas; brother, Michael Toombs of Swindon, Wiltshire, England; sisters, Pauline Smith of Holy Cross, Iowa, Laine Thelwall, Margaret Toombs and Valerie Passmore all of Swindon, Wiltshire, England; her grandchildren, Michael Lambert and Matthew Lambert both of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Amber Taylor of Dayton, Texas, Sabastian Burke "Poppy" of Lynwood, Washington, Steeva Stephens of Huffman, Texas and Dakota Brooks of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Faith Christian Center of Broken Bow, Oklahoma with Brother Chuck Darby officiating. No graveside service to follow. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 6-8 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
